Easter Sunday is only one week away! Are you ready? I love Easter, normally I put together little goody bags of chocolate eggs for my friends and family but this year I decided to try make some new treats! This weekend has been full of melted chocolate, which seems to get everywhere!, mini eggs and more melted chocolate. I’m totally not complaining. I’m a chocoholic. So this Bark recipe works particularly well if you’re looking for an alternative gift to an Easter egg.
Here’s what you need:
π₯ 250g of White Chocolate – I used basic, it worked just fine.
π₯ A 90g bag of Mini Eggs, Crush the majority of the eggs by putting them in a bag and hitting them with a rolling pin. Save a few whole ones.
π₯ Roughly 15g of freeze-dried strawberries, crushed a little bit
Method:
π₯ Lightly grease and line a small rectangle baking tray with grease-proof paper (mine was 17cm x 27cm).
1) Melt the white chocolate either in the microwave in 30 second bursts or over a pan of gently simmering water. Once melted pour on to your lined baking tray – tip the tray a little to help the chocolate reach the edges and corners
2) Sprinkle over your crushed strawberries and crushed mini eggs however you like. Then dot your few whole mini eggs around.
3) Leave to set. Then snap, you’ll end up with all sorts of shapes and sizes.
Tada. A super sweet, perfect Easter gift.
