Happy Valentine’s Day! You may or may not enjoy February 14th but either way, I’d make these cookies, they’re perfect for your other half or just make them for a friend or even for yourself. They’re yummy and ridiculously simple. I have a special cookie cutter that imprints the ‘With Love’ on to the cookie so if you don’t have that luxury you can simply use a heart cookie cutter – they’ll be just a beautiful.
The ingredients:
♥ 225g soft butter
♥ 110g of sugar
♥ 275g of plain flour
♥ 1 teaspoon of vanilla – could use almond if you’d prefer
Method:
♥ Preheat the oven to 170°C/Gas 3
1) Mix the butter and sugar together in a bowl until creamy
2) Add the vanilla and stir
3) Then sieve in the flour and fold until fully incorporated
4) Bring the mix in to a ball of dough, it may not look like it is going to come together for a moment but it will
5) Roll the dough out on to a lightly floured surface – about 5-6mm thick. Cut out as many cookies as you can from the dough, place on lightly greased baking trays slightly apart.
6) Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Until golden and a little firm to touch.
With love x
