
Simple Cupcake Recipe:
6oz softened butter
6oz sugar
6oz self raising flour
3 eggs
A few drops of vanilla essence
– To make them chocolate, add 3 tablespoons of cocoa.
Method:
1) Mix the butter and sugar together
2) Add 1 egg at a time and beat well
3) Sieve in the flour and mix gently
4) Add the vanilla essence
5) Put equal amounts of the mix in to the prepared cupcake cases. Bake in the oven at 180°c/gas mark 4 for 15-20 minutes. YUM!
To create the butterfly – cut the center of the cupcake out to make a small dip, fill with butter cream. Cut the piece of cake you cut out in half to make the wings and place at an angle in to the butter cream as shown in the photograph above. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
